Transmission
is the default BT tool for ubuntu. It’s also recommanded tool for linux BT download.
Install the command line version:
sudo apt install transmission-cli transmission-common transmission-daemon
To add a torrent to the daemon, use this command:
transmission-remote -n 'transmission:transmission' -a files.torrent
transmission:transmission
is the default username & password. If additional safety is not necessary, just do nothing and use the default username & password for the daemon.

transmission-remote -h
# List all torrents

# Quit the daemon

If the demon not start:
sudo service transmission-daemon start
sudo service transmission-daemon stop
sudo service transmission-daemon reload
